When learning about this trip, I was reminded of what it was like to be a high schooler with the same opportunity a few years ago but knowing this time would be different; I would be going as a leader. Nashville has a special place in my heart. It was the first time God called me to missions and a life of wanting to serve Him and others. I saw many ways that the power of prayer was strong and very present. From coming up with the funds for the trip, to me personally praying for a conversation about God with a stranger and to blessig the house that we re-roofed....God exceeded all of those answers to prayers. He gave me confidence to share my faith and to pray with complete strangers. I am excited to see how these students will be impacted by the different cultural setting and different faith setting. And possibly experiencing the same conversations that I did in this same city when I was their age.
Please pray for growth in their walk, for their eyes to be opened to a world where they can easily share their faith and that this trip will transform their relationship with Christ. Pray that with all situations that arise God will be present. Pray that if it is even for one conversation that these students might have with someone, that they would see the reason why they gave up their spring break to serve and further God's kingdom.
Thank you to everyone for the support that you have given to this team and thank you for your continual prayers as we gear up to head out!
God Bless,
Rachel Rudy
